Brussels hosted last 4 December a meeting of the Postal Directive Committee.
The meeting chaired by Raphaël Goulet of the European Commission reviewed various issues, specifically matters associated to reform of the Universal Postal Union and its next congress.
Also discussed were recent regulatory developments in the Dutch, Swedish and Finnish postal sectors, as well as tax and customs issues concerning the sector and activities of the European Regulators Group for Postal Services (ERGP).
The current situation of negotiations on the proposed cross-border parcel regulation was also reviewed.
