“Imagine you are a letter travelling through time. What message would you like to convey to your readers?” was the topic chosen for the 2018 Universal Postal Union (UPU) letter-writing competition.
In Portugal this initiative is promoted jointly by ANACOM, as Portugal’s representative in the UPU, and by CTT - Correios de Portugal, as the designated operator in this international organisation.
From all the letters received for the two levels, the jury chose the following participants as winners:
- 1st level (9-11 years old) - José Duarte, aged 9, from Viseu;
- 2nd level (12-15 years old) - Débora Costa, aged 15, from Porto.
The awards ceremony will take place as part of the World Post Day celebrations, which will take place in October in Lisbon.
The winning 1st level letter will represent Portugal in the UPU International Letter-Writing Competition, which will announce the results of this contest on its website.
