Ten-year old José Duarte from Viseu has won 2nd place in the 2018 edition of the international letter-writing competition run by the Universal Postal Union (UPU).
The theme of this year’s competition, "Imagine you are a letter travelling through time. What message do you wish to convey to your readers?" saw more than one million entries from about 60 countries.
The winner of first place, 13-year-old Chara Phoka from Cyprus, was awarded her prize at a ceremony that took place on World Post Day on 9 October in Bern, Switzerland.
