As a result of the audit, and by decision of 8 November 2018, ANACOM approved the declaration that the SCA - Sistema de Contabilidade Analítica (Analytical Accounting System) used by MEO - Serviços de Comunicações e Multimédia (MEO) with reference to financial year 2016 is in of conformity with applicable legal and regulatory provisions.
A set of determinations and recommendations were also approved seeking improvement of the SCA, as well as the corresponding prior hearing report.
In particular, ANACOM declares that the results of the SCA used by MEO in respect of financial year 2016 were produced in accordance with:
a) the rules set out in paragraph 5 of article 85 of the LCE - Lei das Comunicações Eletrónicas (Electronic Communications Law) as regards narrowband access to the public telephone network at a fixed location and publicly available telephone services at a fixed location;
b) the provisions of article 71 of the LCE, as regards access to physical infrastructure and broadband access, the leased lines service (terminal and trunk segments) and as regards call origination and termination on the public telephone network at a fixed location.
