The most recent edition of the Statistical Yearbook, with data on the communications sector (telecommunications and postal communications) for the year 2002, is now available.
Besides providing an overview of the sector?s influence on the Portuguese economy, the document now published, whose paper version will soon be made available, covers all telecommunications services, specifically leased lines, fixed telephone and public payphone service, mobile services, cable distribution networks, data transmission and internet access services, audiotext, radiocommunications services and data on public telecommunications networks. A special chapter is reserved for the postal sector.
The Autoridade Nacional de Comunicações (ANACOM) has published this statistical yearbook since 1998. For the fifth consecutive year it thus aims to provide market players, as well as consumers of postal services and telecommunications, with solid data that enable those who invest in, manage and use communications to make up-to-date and well grounded choices.
