A videoconference forum organised by the ITU in collaboration with the Romanian regulator (National Authority for Management and Regulation in Communications (ANCOM)) was held last 26 May.
This event reported on activities carried out under the Buenos Aires Action Plan, particularly the regional initiatives approved at the 2017 World Telecommunication Development Conference (WTDC-17).
There are five European regional initiatives, meant to address development of network infrastructures, digital applications and services, digital inclusion, cybersecurity and digital innovation. All the stakeholders were able to discuss the implementation plans, announce commitments to future initiatives and share experiences and good practices.
At the end of the event, the plan to implement European regional initiatives for 2020-2021 was revised and updated with more than 40 contributions from the partners involved.
