A workshop on the adoption of IPv6 in Europe organised by the BEREC expert working group on Open Internet (Open Internet EWG) was held by videoconference on 7 October 2020. It included presentations given by RIPE NCC, the Internet Society, Europol and various national regulatory authorities. The discussion focused on the impacts deriving from the exhaustion of IPv4 addresses and the adoption of IPv4 maintenance solutions. Also discussed were differences regarding the adoption of IPv6, actions taken at national level and responsibilities in the IPv6 transition among the various member-states.
