Extraordinary RSPG plenary meeting - December 2020

An extraordinary plenary meeting of the RSPG took place last 4 December by videoconference, focusing exclusively on approval of the RSPG’s contribution for the Special Connectivity Group.

Based on the work carried out very quickly by three of the RSPG subgroups (Peer Review, Additional Spectrum Needs and Future Wireless Broadband Rollout, and Spectrum Sharing), the plenary session approved the RSPG’s response to the Special Connectivity Group without any indication of vote against or abstention. As maintained in the very title of this RSPG opinion, this is a first contribution that the RSPG will make in the scope of Recommendation (EU) 2020/1307 of the Commission of 18 September, which envisages the approval by 31 March 2021 of a toolbox that facilitates the development of 5G networks. Like other documents produced by the RSPG, this contribution can be consulted on the European Commission website dedicated to the RSPG (https://rspg-spectrum.eu/https://rspg-spectrum.eu/).
