Approval of allocation of rights of use of numbers to Belgacom
By decision of 11 February 2021, ANACOM, in compliance with the powers and duties entrusted by Article 8(1)(f) of its Statuteshttps://www.anacom.pt/render.jsp?categoryId=333094, in pursuing the regulation objectives established in Article 5(1)(a) and (2)(d) of the Electronic Communications Lawhttps://www.anacom.pt/render.jsp?categoryId=333114 (CE), as currently worded, as well as under the provisions in Article 26(1)(q) of these statutes and pursuant to Articles 17, 19, 36 and 37 of the Electronic Communications Law, approved the allocation to Belgacom International Carrier Services (BICS) of rights of use of the numbering resources for the telephone service accessible to the public at a fixed location (22912 XXXX – Porto; 21027 XXXX - Lisbon); the nomadic VoIP service (30551 XXXX); the national calls free of charge to the caller service (80031 XXXX); and the allocation of the “BICS” operator code for BD-112L and, in particular, point 5.2.3 of Annex II of Regulation 112Lhttps://www.anacom.pt/render.jsp?contentId=975622.
BICS is thus subject to compliance with the conditions established in Article 37 of the Electronic Communications Law, specifically: (i) numbers of the “2” range exclusively for the telephone service accessible to the public in a fixed location offer, in the corresponding geographical area; (ii) numbers of the “30” range, exclusively for the nomadic VoIP service offer; (iii) numbers of “800” range exclusively for the national calls free of charge to the caller service offer; (iv) in observance of the principles and criteria for the management and allocation of numbering resources approved by ANACOM, on 2 June 1999, and others that ensure compliance with the condition of effective and efficient use and that may be established by ANACOM in executing the Electronic Communications Law.
