Public call for consultation on the radio spectrum in the EU

/ Updated on 04.03.2004

(last update - 4.3.2004)

Two questionnaires were published in RSPG site (Radio Spectrum Policy Group) within this group.

The objective of the first questionnaire - prepared by the subgroup that is studying the issues related to the secondary trading of the rights to use radio spectrum - is to investigate the level of interest in secondary trading of rights to use radio spectrum as a tool for a more flexible radio spectrum management.  RSPG should form an Opinion about the potential benefits and drawbacks for the European Community policy and for the EC internal market arising out of the introduction of this tool.

This questionnaire is available to be filled in by 2 April 2004 at

The objective of the second questionnaire - prepared by the subgroup that studies the radio spectrum implications arising out of the implementation of digital television and closing of analogue television - is to seek the views on this use of all radio spectrum users and any other interested parties, so as to allow the group to form an Opinion about the radio spectrum implications arising out of the switchover to digital broadcasting.

This questionnaire is available to be filled in by 15 March 2004 at
