By decision of 16 January 2024, ANACOM has approved the regulation that sets out the rules and establishes the procedures to be adopted by undertakings that offer public electronic communications networks and publicly available electronic communications services at a fixed location, for the calculation, settlement and payment of the Municipal Fee for Rights of Way (TMDP Regulation), repealing Regulation no. 38/2004 of 29 September.
On this date, approval was also given to the report on the public consultation to which the draft regulationhttps://www.anacom.pt/render.jsp?contentId=1749375 was submitted (draft regulation approved on 1 August 2023). In response to this procedure, timely contributions were received from the following undertakings: IP Telecom, Serviços de Telecomunicações; NOWO Communications; Ar Telecom – Acessos e Redes de Telecomunicações; MEO – Serviços de Comunicações e Multimédia; Business Carrier Coalition; Vodafone Portugal, Comunicações Pessoais; APRITEL - Associação dos Operadores de Comunicações Eletrónicas (Association of Telecommunications Operators); NOS Comunicações; and AMIUC - Associação de Municípios com Infraestruturas Urbanas Concessionadas (Association of Municipalities with Concessioned Urban Infrastructure).
