On 20 March 2024, ANACOM approved the 2023 annual report on this Authority's whistleblowing reporting channels, in accordance with article 17 of Law no. 93/2021 https://diariodarepublica.pt/dr/detalhe/lei/93-2021-176147929 of 20 December, and under point q) of paragraph 1 of article 26 of ANACOM statuteshttps://www.anacom.pt/render.jsp?contentId=1351851.
This report is submitted on an annual basis to Assembleia da República (Assembly of the Republic) and provides details on:
- the number of external whistleblowing complaints received;
- the number of processes initiated as a result of these complaints and their outcomes;
- the nature and type of the reported infractions;
- other considerations which are relevant to improving the mechanisms for submitting and monitoring complaints, as well as the protection of whistleblowers, related people and targeted people, including sanctioning actions.
