May 1 was a milestone for the enlargement of the European Union, which has now 25 Member-states.
The new 10 Member-states are geographically located in different regions: Cyprus and Malta, in South Mediterranean Europe; Poland, Check Republic, Slovakia, Hungary and Slovenia, in Central Europe; and the Baltic States (Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania) in Eastern Europe.
The entities with responsibilities in the communications sector, both the Ministries and the respective national regulatory authorities (NRAs), are listed in this site’s “Links”.
