/ Updated on 27.08.2004

One second meeting was held on 18 February on e-commerce, organized by ANACOM, which gathered representatives from all the sector entities competent within the scope of Decree-Law no. 7/2004, of 7 January, being also attended by a representative from the Office for Legislative Policy and Planning of the Ministry of Justice, the entity responsible for the transposition of the European Parliament and Council Directive 2000/31/EC, related to e-commerce.

The main objective of this meeting was to promote the reasoned discussion of some of the most relevant issues identified in the first meeting of 26 November 2003, having been stressed, as a particularly sensitive matter, the articulation of competences between the central supervision entity and the sector supervision entities, in particular as far as the adoption of restrictive measures and preliminary dispute settlement related to  contents available online are concerned.

A new meeting was scheduled for next 24 March.
