November

By decision of 13 November, ANACOM determined that the content of documents submitted by PT Comunicações (PTC) on 1 July and 11 November 2013, in execution of ANACOM's decision of 16 May 2013 on the evolution of the digital terrestrial television (DTT) network, is not confidential in nature.

October

ANACOM reports that the network of probes to monitor digital terrestrial television (DTT) is in full operation; the network consists of 390 probes, distributed nationally, to monitor the quality of the digital television signal 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

September

By determination of 11 September, ANACOM approved issue of a temporary network licence to PT Comunicações (PTC) for a period of 180 days.

August

By determination of 1 August, ANACOM approved the report of the public consultation on the future of digital terrestrial television (DTT), in relation to matters within its area of competence.

July

Subsequent to ANACOM's determination of 16 May 2013, which defined the model for the development of Portugal's digital terrestrial television network, associated with multiplexer A (MUX A), by determination of 4 July 2014, ANACOM approved a draft decision on the definition of terrestrial coverage obligations to be included in the right of use of frequencies issued to PT Comunicações (PTC). 

May

Information is made available from 1st quarter 2014 on ANACOM's spectrum monitoring and control work in the context of the transition to digital terrestrial television.

By determination of May, ANACOM has approved the final decision on the price charged by PT Comunicações (PTC) for the encoding, multiplexing, transport and broadcast of free unrestricted access television channels by DTT network (MUX A).  This decision responds to a request for intervention submitted by Rádio e Televisão de Portugal (RTP) to mediate in the determination of pricing.

April

By determination of 4 April and in conjunction with ERC, ANACOM has approved the launch of a public consultation to sound out all stakeholders on the future of DTT.

March

By determination of 14 March 2014, ANACOM approved a draft decision on the price charged by PT Comunicações (PTC) for the encoding, multiplexing, transport and broadcast of free unrestricted access television channels by digital terrestrial network (DTT) (MUX A), following a request for intervention submitted by Rádio e Televisão de Portugal (RTP) for immediate mediation in determining the price demanded by PTC for these services.
