Public Consultation on the 99 Review (3rd phase)

/ Updated on 27.06.2005

The 3rd phase of the public consultation on the process of definition of relevant markets, assessment of significant market power (SMP) and imposition of obligations, is launched today. This consultation is integrated in the process of implementation of the new regulatory framework arising out of the so called 99 Review, covering mobile services, namely the markets on access and call origination on mobile telephone networks and the voice call termination on individual mobile networks. The wholesale national market for international roaming on public mobile networks is not included in this phase.

The aim of this consultation is to gather opinions from the intervening parties in the several markets on certain preliminary ANACOM choices and about matters related to the criteria and indicators used in the definition of relevant markets, the evaluation of the effective competition in each market and the imposition, maintenance or withdrawal of obligations, among others.

The deadline for delivery of comments ends on the 29 April 2004 1. Replies should be sent, preferably through e-mail, to the address analise.mercados@anacom.pt.
