/ Updated on 30.08.2006

The group WG FM PT22, which covers spectrum monitoring, met on 25-28 April in Skopje, under CEPT and organised by the Macedonian administration (AEC).

Among other issues, the meeting agenda included the continued preparation of a report on the measurement of coverage and quality in cellular networks (GSM and UMTS), the definition of frequency measurement methods using the Fast-Fourier Transform (FFT) technique and methods to measure noise, revision of the recommendation ECC/REC(02)04 on non-ionising radiation to include UMTS emissions and determination of the CEPT agreement to interconnect short wave (HF) radiogoniometers.

Portugal presented its solution for automatic verification of the structure of the files on data transfer between administrations, resulting from the international monitoring campaigns carried out to support the CPG/PT4 group (responsible for some agenda items of WRC-07), vis-à-vis that harmonised in recommendation ECC/REC(05)01.
