Article 2 of the Regulations for the Operation of the FTS

Upon deliberation of February 15, 2001, it was decided that, under the terms of Article 2 of Decree-Law nr. 474/99of November 8 (The Regulations for the Operation of the Fixed Telephone Service), until entry into force of number portability, in the event of the subscriber changing FTS provider, this provider must guarantee one of the following two options, in accordance with the option chosen by the user:

a) The forwarding of calls to the new number at a reasonable tariff, whenever the user so requests;

b) The automatic and free-of-charge divulgation of the new number.
