Summary: This report is part of a series of periodic studies (coming every one and a half to two years) made by the OECD - Economic Surveys - which assess the economic progress made by each country and present recommendations on how to meet the challenges of the future.
The study is divided into 4 chapters: Economic performance and key challenges; securing fiscal consolidation; maximising the gains from integration in the world economy; and improving the functioning of the labour market. The next report on Portugal is due for release in 2010.
