ANACOM has approved a draft decision on the prices of the television signal distribution and broadcasting service charged by PT Comunicações, S.A., (PTC) by determination of 23 July 2008.
According to this draft decision, PTC must reduce the price of each provision that integrates the television signal distribution and broadcasting service by at the least 23%, in order to ensure that the price regime of this service complies with the principle of cost orientation of prices. New prices shall prevail as from 1 September 2008. PTC must also send to ANACOM a copy of the redrafted tariff, within 10 days from the approval of the final decision.
Interested parties have been notified to assess the matter in writing within 10 working days, pursuant to articles 100 and 101 of the Code of Administrative Procedure, an opinion on the matter having been requested from the Gabinete para os Meios de Comunicação Social.
