The Independent Regulators Group (IRG) met in General Assembly last 26 February in Berlin. After debating the review of the regulatory framework for electronic communications, the group approved a declaration that urges European institutions to quickly reach an effective agreement on the electronic communications package in second reading, highlighting the support for the common position of the Council of 27 February 2008 concerning article 7. The IRG additionally debated the activities of the Expert Team on article 7; a presentation was also given on the current status of the VoIP Action Plan.
