Meeting of the CLI (Calling Line Identification) task force of WG NNA - Lisbon

Lisbon hosted last 29-30 January a meeting of the Calling Line Identification (CLI) Task Force of the working group on Numbering, Names and Addressing (WG NNA) of the Electronic Communications Committee (ECC).

This task force's aim is to draw up a report identifying and recommending ways to make CLI identification more trustworthy for both current telecommunications networks and also the new networks, so that this identifier can enjoy greater credibility. Indeed, it is also especially important for identifying and finding emergency callers. Note that ANACOM recently produced a clarification on CLI Use of CLI in the origination of calls - clarificationhttps://www.anacom.pt/render.jsp?contentId=736459.

This group will next meet in Helsinki this coming 15-16 April, with a view to completing the report to be approved at WG NNA level.
