Licensing for the provision of the pan-european paging service ERMES
Published in the D.R. no. 37 (Series III), of 13 of February. By determination of the Board of Directors of the Instituto das Comunicações de Portugal (ICP), made under the terms of Decree-Law no. 381-A/97, of 30 of December, namely the respective articles 3, 21 and 23, the following has been decided:
1. The frequency band reserved for the provision of the public use telecommunications service designated PAN-EUROPEAN PAGING SERVICE ERMES is located between 169.4125 and 169.8125 MHz.
2. During 1998, the frequencies to be made available for the provision of the PAN-EUROPEAN PAGING SERVICE ERMES are as follows:

4. 169.450 MHz
5. 169.475 MHz
6. 169.500 MHz
7. 169.650 MHz
8. 169.750 MHz
9. 169.775 MHz
10. The granting of licenses for the provision of the PAN-EUROPEAN PAGING SERVICE ERMES implies the granting of frequencies in accordance with the full accessibility regime.
11. The license granting process, as well as the licenses granted are governed by the regime established by Decree-Law no. 381-A/97, of 30 of December, as well as by the remaining communications sector legislation.
12. The requirements, conditions and modes specifically required for the provision of the service, as well as the procedures to be adopted for the preparation and presentation of the respective request are set forth in the Consultation Document for the Licensing for the Provision of the Pan-European Paging Service Ermes, which may be purchased at the Public Attendance of the ICP s headquarters at Avenida José Malhoa, no. 12, 1070 Lisboa, on working days between 9 AM and 4 PM.
