?Electronic Commerce and the PME ? instrument of effectiveness and internationalisation? was the subject of the Convergence and Development Platform meeting, promoted by ANACOM, which happened on April 10, at the Mercure Hotel, in Lisbon,. This meeting intended to analyse the challenges made to small and medium size national companies, in result of the new business models implemented through the electronic networks and services.
The Convergence and Development Platform, created in June 1999, is constituted, beyond the Plenary Assembly, by three working groups that brings together the different points of view of the convergence process: working group of the consumers and industrial and commerce associations, working group of the industry and the working group of the networks operators and the contents industry.
