14. Tangible fixed assets and those in progress (additional information)

In terms of fixed assets and those in progress, it is important to note that, at 31 December 2001, EUR 5,554,688 was in the hands of third parties, including the amount of EUR 5,053,208 corresponding to the former overseas territory stamp collection held by Fundação Portuguesa das Comunicações (Portuguese Communications Foundation).
