The ICP placed 60% of available excess from the institute's treasury on 31st December, 2001, at the Directorate-General of the Treasury, that is, EUR 25,052,114, resulting from two savings accounts, to comply with a Council of Ministers Resolution no. 45/2000 of 18 May.
At the same time, financial products used at other financial institutions complied with the rule not to have more than 15% of the total applied outside the Treasury at one financial institution. The only exception to this rule is if the financial product was labelled "investment grade" by one of the main rating agencies.
