ANACOM approved, on 10 May 2018, the assignment of the rights of use of the number 1415 to the Cruz Vermelha Portuguesa (Portuguese Red Cross), which will provide telephone contact with the operating room of the central coordination of its emergency services, which ensures, in particular the protection of people living in areas at risk of forest fires. The number 1415 will be implemented by a support operator to be designated by the Portuguese Red Cross.
