The seventh and final meeting of the working group (WG) was held on 16 December 2019, at ANACOM's headquarters in Lisbon, to study and analyse the most suitable technical and financial configuration for the timely replacement of the submarine cables carrying communications between mainland Portugal, the Azores and Madeira (CAM).
In order to comply with the Despacho n.º 4805/2019https://www.anacom.pt/render.jsp?contentId=1497839, the drafting of the final report was discussed, and it was agreed to include 12 recommendations relative to the replacement of the CAM Ring and the provision of associated services.
The working group will complete its work, with the delivery of the final report to the Government, by the end of 2019.
