MODINIS Work Programme approved

/ Updated on 07.10.2004

It was recently approved by the Council and the European Parliament the MODINIS work programme 2004, with a budget of €12,8m, out from the global amount of €22,4m which the programme benefits from.

The aim of this programme is to follow-up the development of the eEurope 2005 Action Plan, namely monitoring and comparison of the implementation performance in and within Member-states, through benchmarking activities, as well as identification, analysis and dissemination of good practices at regional and local level and support to releases aiming at reinforcing network and information security. Approved last December 2003 and ending on 31 December 2005, it will finance the actions of the EU Member-states within this scope.

MODINIS replaces the former PROMISE programme, approved with similar objectives, for the period from January 1998 to December 2002, within the eEurope 2002 Action Plan.
