Bragança Cybercentre and Localvisão TV to launch Internet TV channel with regional content

Bragança Cybercentre and Localvisão TV have signed a protocol on the launch of a TV channel with regional content to be broadcast using IPTV.

The local content will be produced by Bragança Cybercentre in partnership with other regional media (a radio station and a newspaper) in order to give impetus to the disclosure of information of a regional character, both nationally and internationally (emigrant communities) over the Internet.

The partnership established between Bragança Cybercentre and Localvisão TV involves 12 channels for the 12 municipalities of the Trás-os-Montes district.

The ceremony of the project's presentation and the signing of the protocol will take place today at 2.30pm in the Municipal Theatre.

Bragança Cybercentre, in line with other cybercentres promoted by ANACOM and Fundação para a Divulgação das Tecnologias de Informação (Foundation for the Propagation of the Information Technologies), has the aim of stimulating the appetite of young people and the economic agents of each region for multimedia, information and communication technologies.

Localvisão TV is a regional television project, with national scope, which focuses on programming which reaches all the municipalities of the country.
