The deadline for the receipt of entries to the 2009 Letter-Writing Competition falls on 27 February 2009. The competition, which is organised by the Universal Postal Union (UPU), is promoted in Portugal through a joint initiative of ANACOM and CTT - Correios de Portugal, which are both members of the Union, itself a specialist organisation of the United Nations.
The theme chosen for this year's competition is ''Write a letter to someone to explain how decent working conditions can lead to a better life''.
