Telecoms Council

Between 10 and 11 June, in Luxemburg, the Council of Ministers for Transportation, Telecommunications and Energy will be held to discuss and assess several issues, such as:

Proposal for a Decision of the European Parliament and the Council establishing a multiannual programme to make the digital content in Europe more accessible, usable and exploitable (eContentPlus);
Proposal for a Decision of the European Parliament and the Council establishing a multiannual community programme on promoting safer use of the Internet and new online technologies (Safer Internet Plus);
eEurope 2005 Action Plan (national broadband strategies and he updating of the Action Plan, following the European Commission Communications ?Connecting Europe at High Speed: National Broadband Strategies? e ?eEurope 2005 Action-Plan - An Update?);
Proposal for a Council Decision on the three Stakeholders? representatives to the Management Board of the European Network and Information Security Agency (ENISA);
Follow-up of the World Summit on Information Society (WSIS); and
Open mobile platforms.
