By determination of 29 December 2008, ANACOM approved a final decision on the conditions of rights of use for numbers transferred from Optimus Telecomunicações to Novis Telecom, following an authorization decided on 24.10.2007, and on the transfer to Sonaecom of rights of use for numbers allocated to Telemilénio. Approval was also given to the report on the prior hearing to which the corresponding draft decision was submitted, by determination of 22 December 2008.
Sonaecom now has one year to return to ANACOM some numbering resources accumulated as a result of acquisition operations, namely two indirect access provider codes, a short number for fixed telephone customer support services, two short information service numbers, a block of voice mail numbers and two NRN (Network Routing Number) blocks of numbers. A time-limit of two years was also established for the devolution of two blocks of numbers of the data networks service. Last, Sonaecom was ordered to ensure that free numbers (or numbers to be de-activated) in blocks of non-geographic numbers concerning IN translation services (for example, free calls to the caller service) where there is an accumulation and with a lower occupation rate are not available to customers.
